Solar Street Lighting

Public Lighting That Runs Without the Grid

Sigma solar street lights pair high-efficiency PV and LFP storage with adaptive LED optics and motion sensing, so roads, estates, campuses, and mini grid communities stay lit every night with no cabling, no diesel, and no metered consumption.

How the system works

The Product

One Pole, One Complete Power System

Each light is a small solar plant: panel, MPPT controller, LFP battery, and luminaire sized together for the site's sun hours and lighting hours. Dusk-to-dawn operation is automatic, motion sensing lifts output when people or vehicles pass, and every pole can report its own state of health.

Capabilities

Street Lighting Engineered as an Energy Product

Photometric design, energy sizing, structural hardware, and monitoring, delivered as one specification instead of assorted parts.

01

All-in-One & Split Systems

Integrated pole-top units for fast rollout, split PV and battery designs where higher output or shading tolerance is needed.

02

LFP Energy Storage

Long-cycle lithium iron phosphate packs sized for multiple cloudy nights, with cell balancing and temperature protection.

03

Adaptive Motion Dimming

Microwave or PIR sensing raises output when movement is detected and holds a low base level the rest of the night.

04

Smart Controllers

MPPT charging with programmable lighting profiles, dusk-to-dawn timing, and deep-discharge protection.

05

Remote Monitoring

Optional connectivity reports battery state, charge yield, burn hours, and faults to the Sigma platform, pole by pole.

06

Built for African Roads

Anti-theft fastenings, surge and corrosion protection, and galvanised poles rated for local wind loads and dust.
